If in-person sessions don't work well for you due to time or distance constraints, I also offer sessions online (via telehealth). Online counseling can make it easy to receive the support you need from a professional. I am well-versed in online counseling and ready to support you!
First responders dedicate their lives to protecting and saving people within our communities. Their careers are incredibly demanding, complex, trauma filled and often underappreciated. And yet, they are some of the bravest, most caring, and most amazing humans I've ever had the honor of knowing.
Long hours and rotating shifts can impact their physical health and family lives. The stressors experienced during a work shift don't just turn off when they go home. Unfortunately, these careers have a higher risk of stress, PTSD, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation and action.
I understand the pressure, strain, impact, and sacrifice that these professions can have on individuals and their families. I have a deep sense of duty and purpose in helping responders navigate the emotional impact of the stressful, challenging, and at times traumatizing services they provide.
I am dedicated to providing you with a confidential, non-judgmental, and safe space to find healing, hope, and restoration.
At Thrive Counseling Northwest, I also provide counseling services to family members of first responders and emergency workers. I recognize the unique challenges of loving someone behind the uniform. Long hours, missed holidays and special events, last-minute cancellations, and always having to explain to others why your partner isn’t present are just a tiny sample of the struggles you may be facing.
Are you searching for support from someone who understands the first responder culture to help you find ways to process and cope with the demands of this lifestyle? If you want to improve communication, reestablish the connection, and find your path to thriving in your relationship, I’m here to help.
*The first counseling appointment is $120 due to the collection and documentation of comprehensive history, potential diagnosis, goal-setting, and treatment planning.
As a Professional Counselor Associate (PCA), I am unable to bill health insurance. If you have additional questions about fees and insurance, please visit my FAQ page for more information.
Once an intake session is scheduled, I will provide you with forms that must be completed in preparation for your first session. This will include consent for treatment as well as intake paperwork. Please allow adequate time to complete all forms.
